However, such individuals must register annually with the Minnesota Department of Agriculture after required training.

Q: What is shokupan?

A: Shokupan or Japanese milk bread is a staple for every Japanese household. The reasons that make shokupan so different and special than other white breads are the milky and buttery taste as well as the soft and fluffy texture. Our shokupan is made with local, high-quality ingredients and no artificial additives or preservatives. This guarantees our freshly homemade shokupan is served with the best quality to our customers!

Q: What is melonpan?

A: Melonpan is a classic Japanese sweetbread that is covered with a thin layer of different

crisp cookie dough flavors. Although the appearance resembles a melon, there’s no melon flavor contained in the bread.

Q: What is the best way to enjoy the shokupan?

A: Our shokupan is best enjoyed as is, toasted with your favorite toppings, or made as a sandwich.

Q: How to store the shokupan?

  • 2-3 days at room temperature. (The bread needs to be kept sealed)

  • Refrigeration can increase the shelf life by 3-5 more days.

  • Up to 4 months in the freezer (Highly Recommended) All you need to do is slice the shokupan to your preferred thickness before freezing. Although freezing may not kill all dangerous compounds, it will stop them from growing.

Q: How to reheat the shokupan?

A: Heat the bread at 350F (175C) in the toaster oven for 2-3 minutes and voila!
